Queens’ men’s cross-country team ended Mars Hill’s domination of the South Atlantic Conference, taking the team title at the SAC championship meet Oct. 24 in Pineville, Ky. Meanwhile, senior Catie Byrd won the women’s individual championship, leading the Royals to a runner-up finish behind three-time champion Wingate in the women’s team standings. Queens’ men had five runners finish in the top 10, closing its team scoring with 34 points to 44 for Mars Hill, which had won the SAC title 18 consecutive years.
